What is biogas

Biogas is a heterogeneous mixture of gases deriving from the anaerobic fermentation process of organic compounds, composed mostly of methane (CH4) and the remainder of carbon dioxide and other gases; this mixture is used as fuel by a cogeneration unit for the production of electricity and heat 24 hours a day, 365 days a year!

Why biogas

For several years, more and more farms, agricultural cooperatives and consortia have chosen anaerobic digestion as the key to success of the corporate circular economy, generating high economic profitability and green energy from organic waste and by-products, contributing to the drastic reduction of CO2 emissions and to the preservation and increase of soil fertility, because the digestate leaving the plants is odourless, free of bacterial loads and rich in micronutrient elements and ammonia nitrogen, therefore an optimal organic fertilizer for organic farming and soil management techniques both conventional and minimum tillage / no tillage.

Furthermore, BST has always foreseen the use of hot water coming out of the engines to heat the entire corporate body and entire municipalities, or we can install a latest generation trigeneration system, increasing the profitability of your plant!

Why BST

The biogas plant is an important and successful investment, you certainly do not want to choose plants of mediocre quality and poor reliability. For this reason, we at BST have been the absolute leader for years in the construction of biogas cogeneration plants in 304 and 316 TI stainless steel , from 100 KW to 300 KW up to over 1 MW, proposing ourselves as EPC Contractor of “turnkey” plants, providing the customer with Authorization, Design and Construction of the plant. We leave no detail to chance thanks to the decades of experience of the technicians and designers who will take care of your system, including maintenance and assistance!

The advantages

  • Optimize waste, livestock manure and organic by-products for the production of green energy or fuel
  • Supplements agricultural income
  • Uses the digestate as a fertilizer, improving the workability of the land and the ability to retain water
  • Dramatically reduce odors and polluting emissions
